Eileen is a 3rd year AuD student at the University of Iowa. She attended the University of Kansas for her undergraduate studies. Within the lab, Eileen has worked as a research assistant and on her capstone project. Her research interests include clinical outcomes of cochlear implantation. She presented her capstone poster, Hybrid Cochlear Implant Users' Speech Recognition After Post-Implant Hearing Loss, at the 2019 American Auditory Society meeting. Her future goals include working on a multidisciplinary team in a medical setting, particularly with patients who use cochlear implants. Eileen is especially passionate about working with and advocating for children and those with disabilities. Outside of her time in the lab and studies, she enjoys reading, singing, dancing, and hanging out with family and friends.
